The Orange football squad is gearing up for the month of November and the final four games of the regular season. First stop for the Orange is Pittsburgh on Saturday, Nov. 3 (12:00 p.m., ESPN Regional).
"I really look forward to this month and I don't mean that I’m looking past Pitt at all," said head coach Greg Robinson. "It's the BIG EAST and this is the exciting time of the year when you have to make your move. To me it's exciting. It's really what you're looking for and I'd like our football to show that there is still a lot of development left in them and that they are ready to make a move."
The last time fans saw the Orange squad, Syracuse defeated Buffalo, 20-12. Sophomore quarterback Andrew Robinson was 15-of-28 for 265 yards and one touchdown. Catching the scoring pass was sophomore wide receiver Mike Williams, who has caught at least one TD pass in the last five games. Freshman running back Doug Hogue had a breakout game, rushing for 83-yards on 24 carries and scoring his first career touchdown.

Syracuse holds a 30-29-3 advantage in the 61-game series against Pittsburgh, which began in 1916. The teams have played every year since 1955.
