SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Members of the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team will volunteer at the Shonnard Street branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse on Friday, Nov. 30. The student-athletes will be at the club from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to assist in administering the club’s teen program, which gives kids a safe place to be after dark.
The student-athletes will participate in games, a college/career question and answer session, as well as help kids with their homework.
The Shonnard Street branch’s teen program runs from 5:30-9 p.m. every Monday-Friday and is organized by former Orange women’s basketball player Sameerah Aiken. Aiken and SU Student-Athlete Development Coordinator Kevin Wall helped arrange Friday’s appearance as part of the ‘Cuse Cares Community Service Program.
