Syracuse Orange fans the second installment of the three-part feature on women’s rowing in now available on Orange All Access. The second chapter in the three-part series takes and in-depth look at afternoon practices. The first part examined early morning practice sessions and how they benefit the squad. Afternoon practices let the Orange embrace Syracuse’s beautiful scenery. Team members say practicing in the daylight is therapeutic because the surroundings are so serene and calming. The team looks at practice as just another step in chasing perfection. A lot of the women on the team come from rowing families, some of their fathers used to row at Syracuse. Although these women make up a new generation of Syracuse rowing, they strive to build on Syracuse’s tradition of success and determination.
