SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse men’s lacrosse player Tom Rennie will be honored at halftime of the Orange’s game against #3 John Hopkins on Saturday, March 17. Rennie, who played for SU from 1963-65, worked as an oral surgeon in Rochester, N.Y. before passing away last fall.
Legendary former Syracuse lacrosse coach Roy Simmons Jr. will say a few words about Rennie and present his wife and family with a framed jersey at halftime.
Rennie earned his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse before attending Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he was awarded a doctorate in dental surgery. He was member of several professional societies, including the American Dental Association, and also held two U.S. patents for medical inventions.
The Orange posted a winning record in each of Rennie’s three seasons.
