
Sophomore first baseman Heather Kim named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for second time this season.
Kim Earns BIG EAST Honor Roll Honors

PROVIDENCE – Sophomore Heather Kim was named to this week’s BIG EAST Honor Roll after leading the Orange to three victories in its opening weekend of BIG EAST play. Kim concluded the weekend with a .429 batting average, going a combined 6-for-14 with six RBI, five runs scored, two doubles, one home run and 31 putouts. The sophomore also earned BIG EAST Honor Roll Accolades on March 12.
In its first conference victory, Kim sacrificed in the first run of the game in the first inning, a run which proved to be the winning run. She added another RBI in the third.
After scoring two runs in a 9-8 victory in the first game against Connecticut, Kim led the Orange offense to victory in the second game. She homered in the second inning to give SU a 2-1 lead. In the sixth, she led the inning off with a single and then scored to make it 3-1. Then with SU trailing, 4-3, in the seventh, Kim doubled and brought two runs in as SU won, 6-4.
Syracuse returns to the diamond on Saturday, March 31 with a twinbill at DePaul that begins at noon.
