Syracuse fans the fifth and final installments of the Orange All Access look into the making of The Express is now available for free on suathletics.com. The fifth in chapter in the five-part series takes an in-depth look at Syracuse University Alum Max Osinski who is playing Ernie Davis’ teammate Ger Schwedes (click here).

The Universal Studios feature film tells the story of legendary Orange running back Ernie Davis who became the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy in 1961and led SU to the national championship in 1959. Davis was the first player taken in the 1962 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins and was traded to Cleveland, but he died of leukemia in 1963, at age 23, before ever playing a down in the NFL. The film is based on the book “Ernie Davis: The Elmira Express” by Robert Gallagher and production just finished the halfway point of filming in and around Chicago and is expected to wrap principle photography in Syracuse at the end of June.
Orange All Access debuted on suathletics.com in August 2005 and now features nearly 1,400 video and audio content files, including complete game video webcasts, highlights, interviews, press conferences, feature stories, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, and radio and TV shows. In the near future, an Orange All Access Classics section will be added to the lineup. It will feature archived telecasts of classic Syracuse football, basketball and lacrosse games from past seasons.
