Former Orange football standout Kirby DarDar threw out the first pitch for the Syracuse Chiefs on Orange Pride Night at Alliance Bank Stadium. The night at the ballpark featured a Syracuse football theme, including a drawing for two tickets to the Orange season-opener against Washington in the Carrier Dome on Friday, August 31 (8:00 p.m., ESPN). Tickets for the Syracuse football game are available online (click here) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOMETIX).
In addition, fans at the baseball game were treated to 'Sudden Impact' Syracuse football posters and schedule cards. DarDar, who holds the Syracuse record for kickoff return yards by a junior (636), signed autographs for fans prior to the game and after his game-opening toss from the mound.
