Women's Crew Mastracci Wins Gold at Royal Canadian Henley

Syracuse University women’s rowing incoming freshman Natalie Mastracci won gold at the 125th Royal Canadian Henley in the junior women’s eight in St. Catharines, Ontario over last weekend.
As a member of the St. Catharines Rowing Club, Mastracci and her boat beat out 23 other crews over the six-day event. The gold medalists finished with a time of 7:00.18 easily defeating runner up Community Rowing, Inc. of Boston.
Mastracci is from Thorold, Ontario and graduated from Denis Morris High School in St. Catharines, Ontario in June.

The Canadian Henley is North America's largest regatta, with over 2700 athletes competing from across North America and from as far away as Mexico, Argentina and the UK. Medals are only given to first place finishers, making a Henley win even more special.
The Orange kicks off its fall season on Saturday, October 6 at the Head of the Ohio in Pittsburgh, Pa.
