
New Season of "Syracuse Sidelines" Premieres Thursday

Kickoff for the 2007 Syracuse football season is less than 48 hours away! Get an inside look at this year's Orange and a preview of its matchup against Washington on the first episode of "Syracuse Sidelines". The show airs Thursday at 6 p.m. on Time Warner Sports Channel 26.
Head coach Greg Robinson joins host Mark Larson to provide his "Keys to the Season". The show will also feature an interview with sophomore quarterback Andrew Robinson while senior Jameel McClain will provide his predictions for the upcoming season.
A new segment, "Time Capsule", that chronicles Syracuse's 1987 undefeated regular season debuts on tonight's show. This week will highlight the Orange's win against Maryland on Sept. 5, 1987.
Syracuse hosts Washington in its season opener on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Pre-game activities begin Friday at 6:00 p.m. with the Orange Quad Walk, featuring the 2007 squad making its was from the team bus across the Quad to the Carrier Dome. The Syracuse University Marching Band Drum Line performs in front of Hendricks Chapel following the Quad Walk and the entire band performs in the the Marching Band Pep Rally to gets fans geared up for kickoff. The "Almost Fest", presented by TK99, will include performances by tribute bands Mini-Kiss (6:20 pm to 6:50 pm) and Diver Down (7:15 pm to 7:45 pm). In addition to the musical entertainment, there will be children's games and food and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. Coolers and/or alcoholic beverages are not be permitted on the Quad.
Fans have several ways to purchase tickets to Friday's game, including the Manley Field House Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets are also available at the Carrier Dome Box Office and online.
