Lerew Named Female Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Jessica Lerew, a starting forward for the field hockey team, has been named the Syracuse University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 10.
Lerew was named to the 2006 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. She has earned BIG EAST Academic All-Star accolades every year as well as being named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester. This York Springs, Pa., native is majoring in fashion design.
The Orange hosts Rutgers on Friday, Sept. 14 (6 p.m.) and Hofstra on Sunday, Sept. 16 (1 p.m.). Both contests will be held at Coyne Field.
