Orange BIG EAST Home Opener Will Be Televised on ESPN Regional

The Syracuse University football game begins the home portion of its BIG EAST Conference schedule against West Virginia on Saturday, October 6 at 12:00 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN Regional Television. Tickets are available online (click here) or at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOMETIX). Fans are invited to use the ‘Print at Home’ ticket feature to avoid waiting in line at the Dome on gameday.
Syracuse has won 30 of the 54 games played against West Virginia, including a 12-0 victory in the first-ever game in the series in 1945. The teams have played each other every year since 1955. In 1993, the Ben Schwartzwalder Trophy was unveiled. It is awarded to the winner of the annual Syracuse-West Virginia football game. Schwartzwalder coached Syracuse for 25 years, including 1959 when the Orange won the National Championship, and was a graduate of West Virginia.
Syracuse (1-3 overall, 1-0 BIG EAST) plays this Saturday, September 29, against Miami (OH) in Oxford, Ohio. The game will kickoff at 3:00 p.m. and will be televised on The Ohio News Network.
