SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange begin preparations today for the 2008 season finale. Syracuse will play at 16th-ranked Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 29 (12:00 p.m., BIG EAST Network). Orange head coach Greg Robinson and the Orange will set their sights on sending off 17 seniors in positive way, building on the excitement and momentum from the 24-23 victory at Notre Dame without letting that cloud its focus.

"It's really easy to say, well, it's done and it's behind us, but it's not that simple," Robinson said. "I would like to think that it would be a positive. To me, it has to be something of confidence boost to be able to come back and win the game in the fourth quarter. I think that there are a lot of plusses that we can build off of. That's what we need to do."
It will mark the final collegiate football game for 17 members of the squad, including team captains Tony Fiammetta (Walkersville, Md.), Jake Flaherty (Wakefield, R.I.), Patrick Shadle (Morgantown, W. Va.) and Bruce Williams (Syracuse, N.Y.), and seniors Curtis Brinkley (Philadelphia, Pa.), A.J. Brown (Bealton, Va.), Corey Chavers (Jamesville, N.Y.), Paul Chiara (Mountain Lakes, N.J.), Ryan Durand (Leominster, Mass.), Vincenzo Giruzzi (Utica, N.Y.), Ryan Howard (Carson, Calif.), Ben Maljovec (Warren, Pa.), Nick Santiago (Utica, N.Y.), Roland Burke (Cicero, N.Y.), Ryan Donnelly (East Syracuse, N.Y.), Dan Pena (New York, N.Y.) and manager Steve Castello (Goode, Va.).
The Syracuse-Cincinnati series is tied, 4-4. Syracuse won the first three games against the Bearcats in 1993, 1994 and 1998. The Orange is 1-2 in games played in Cincinnati.
