LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- Freshman Natalie Mazzetta highlighted the final day of competition with a third-pace finish in the 200 Butterfly at the BIG EAST Championship on Sunday. The women finished the four-day affair in eighth place with 183.5 points, while the men were seventh with 299.5 points. Notre Dame claimed top prize in both the women and men's divisions with 767 and 820 points.

The women finished the four-day affair in eighth place with 183.5 points, while the men were seventh with 299.5 points. Notre Dame claimed top prize in both the women and men's divisions with 767 and 820 points.
Mazzetta's 2:01.91 fulfills a NCAA "B" qualifying standard. Earlier in the competition the freshman had a NCAA "B" qualifying time in the 500 Freestyle with a school-record time of 4:50.17.
Junior Sarah Manning had a season-best time in the marathon 1,650 Freestyle with a time of 17:05.67.
Junior Catrina Roth finished 14th in the 200 Backstroke (2:05.46) and sophomore Masha Glukhova placed 15th in the 200 Breaststroke (2:23.59)
The relay team of Manning, Mazzetta, sophomore Carolyn Delkus and freshman Katlin O'Hara finished seventh in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a season-fast 3:29.05.
The freshman duo of Berk Kahraman and Kuba Kotynia posted two sixth place finishes for the men's team. Kahraman swam the 200 Backstroke in a season-best 1:49.00, while Kotynia finished the 200 Breaststroke in 2:01.53.
Sophomores Arda Isiksalan and Glenn Kalata also competed in the 200 Backstroke and posted times of 1:50.46 (eighth place) and 1:52.19 (14th place).
Junior Matt Gerlach touched eighth in the 1,650 Freestyle with a season-best time of 15:48.46. Sophomore Ben Santere swam the event in 16:34.04 (14th place).
Junior Matt Brock and sophomore Ryan Corcoran placed 13th and 14th in the 100 Freestyle with times of 46.58 and 46.67.
In the 400 Freestyle Relay, the team of Corcoran, Brock, junior Alex Taraskin and sophomore Boldizsar Kiss touched fourth in a season-best 3:03.36.
