SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Matt Abbott, a member of the men’s lacrosse team, is the Syracuse University Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 25.

Abbott, a Syracuse, N.Y., native is a four-time Athletic Directior’s Honor Roll selection. He is a dual-major in finance and accounting.

Abbott has tallied 17 career goals in 30 games with the Orange. In 2007, he collected a career-best 15 points on nine goals and six assists.

The Orange men’s lacrosse team is riding a two-game win streak and returns to action on Saturday, March 1 against No. 3 Virginia as part of the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. The opening draw is set for 12:00 p.m.
