The Baltimore, Md. native has scored in double-figures in 23-of-26 games and has reached the 15-point plateau a team-best 16 times. Here seven double-doubles are tied for the seventh in the BIG EAST and is second on the team behind senior forward Fantasia Goodwin's nine double-double.
The Orange is seeking revenge against the Hoyas, which upset the Orange, 78-71, in Georgetown on Feb. 2. In that contest, time ran out on SU, despite having four student athletes in double-digits. Sophomore forward Nicole Michael led the way with 16 points, while Goodwin, senior center Vaida Sipaviciute and sophomore forward Vionca Murray each added 11 points.
Syracuse finished shooting 41.7 percent (25-60) from the field, 28.5 percent (6-21) from behind the arc and 71.4 percent (15-21) from the foul line. Both squads totaled 35 rebounds, but the Orange scored nine more second chance points (16-7) and four more points in the lane (24-20).
The Orange is 5-6 all-time on February 26, but has won its last two home games on the date, defeating St. John's in 2002 and Seton Hall in 2005. Syracuse is the proud owner of a 4-1 home record on February 26.
The Hoyas have lost three of their last four, but topped USF, 66-56, at home in Georgetown's last outing on Feb. 23. Senior center Aminata Diop scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting against the Bulls. She has scored in double-figures in six consecutive games, beginning against Syracuse of Feb. 2.
The meeting will be the 47th all-time between the two squads with the Hoyas holding a slim advantage 24-23. The two programs have split the 41 regular season meetings, 21-20 Georgetown, since the formation of the BIG EAST women's basketball league in 1982-83.
