SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse men’s basketball team will resume National Invitation Tournament action on Tuesday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. The game will be televised on ESPN.
The Orange awaits the winner of the Massachusetts and Akron contest scheduled for Saturday, March 22 in Amherst, Mass.

Syracuse advanced to the NIT quarterfinal round following an 88-72 victory against ACC foe Maryland on Thursday night. Freshman point guard Jonny Flynn led the Orange offense with 23 points and seven assists in the win. Flynn shot 8-for-11 from the field overall and 3-for-4 from the beyond the arc.
Junior center Arinze Onuaku collected his 10th-career double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore guard Paul Harris tallied his 19th-career double-double and second in as many tries with 19 points and 10 boards.
Rookie forward Donte’ Greene set a new mark for Syracuse freshman with his 86th three-point field of the season at the 5:42 mark of the first half. He surpassed former Orange standout Gerry McNamara’s 2002-03 performance on the single-season ledger. Greene finished with 16 points and a career-best five steals.
