
Lynnae Lampkins earns Gazette-Star All-County Accolades

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Lynnae Lampkins, an incoming freshman on Syracuse women’s basketball squad, was named to the first-team Gazette-Star All-county team. Lampkins helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the 2A South Region final. The Syracuse University recruit averaged 18 points, six assists and five steals per game this season and concluded her high school career with more than 900 points.
Lampkins is the second future Orange to earn postseason accolades. Liverpool native Tyler Ash was named the The Post-Standard’s 2007-08 All-Central New York Player of the Year.
Lampkins, a Street and Smith Honorable Mention All-American, is a 5-foot-7-inch guard from Upper Marlboro, Md. She is ranked as the No. 58 player in the country and the No. 10 guard by College Girl’s Basketball Report.
