Doodeman Named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Allison Doodeman, a member of the women’s rowing team, is the Syracuse University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 7.
Doodeman, from Thorold, Ontario, is a five-time Athletic Director’s Honor Roll selection and has thrice been named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star. She is majoring in physical education.
Doodeman served as one of three team captains in 2006-07 and rowed in the 8-seat through the BIG EAST Championship. She rowed in the stroke position in Syracuse’s victory against Boston College on March 29. The varsity eight finished third with a time of 6:19.01 at Yale in Derby, Conn. on April 5, tallying a finish more than one minute faster than its time versus the Eagles.
The Orange women’s rowing team returns to action on April 12 against Penn and Northeastern in Boston, Mass.
