
Mosenson and Quillinan Named to Women's Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team

TOWSON, Md. – Syracuse junior Megan Mosenson and sophomore Halley Quillinan were selected to the 2008 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team for their performances against Northwestern in the national semifinals. The All-Tournament Team was announced at the conclusion of the championship game, where Northwestern defeated Pennsylvania, 10-6, for its fourth straight national title.
Mosenson led the Syracuse offense against the Wildcats with a hat trick, the 10th of her career. She finishes the season with career highs in goals (43), assists (19) and points (62). Quillinan had a goal and two assists against Northwestern and led the team with four draw controls. She also picked up a ground ball and caused one turnover. Quillinan scored 63 goals in 2008, the third-highest single-season total in school history. She recorded 77 points, which ranks third on the single-season record list.
Syracuse, under the direction of first-year head coach Gary Gait, finished the 2008 season with an 18-3 record and advanced to the national semifinals for the first time in the program’s history. The Orange led the nation in scoring and surpassed the NCAA records for goals (380) and points (541) in a season.
