SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University head swimming coach Lou Walker has announced the 2008-09 men’s and women’s swimming and diving schedule. The schedule features three home meets including the season-opener against Colgate on October 10, a BIG EAST matchup against Seton Hall on January 24 and the Syracuse Invitational on February 7.

The schedule features three home meets including the season-opener against Colgate on October 10, a BIG EAST matchup against Seton Hall on January 24 and the Syracuse Invitational on February 7.
Following the home-opener against Colgate, the Orange will head to West Point, N.Y. to face the Black Knights of Army on October 17 and the Marist Red Foxes on October 18. From there, the Orange will travel east to Boston University to face the Terriers on November 1 and then head south for the Gamecock Invitational from November 20-22. Rounding out the regular season are trips to the fifth annual Copa Coqui in Puerto Rico on January 4 and Villanova January 31.
The BIG EAST Championships will take place February 18-21 followed by three separate weekends of NCAA Championship action in March.
The Orange swimming and diving teams closed out the 2007-08 season with the men finishing seventh in the BIG EAST and the women finishing eighth.
