Canisius Added To December Men's Hoop Slate

SYRACUSE, NY –Syracuse is scheduled to welcome New York rival Canisius to the Carrier Dome on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse and Canisius most recently met in 2006 when the Orange won 81-71 in Buffalo’s HSBC Arena. The two clubs have played 67 times previously and the Orange own a 43-24 advantage in the series.
Canisius struggled through a 6-25 campaign last year but has all five starters and 10 returning letter winners. Coach Tom Parrotta has two seasons under his belt at the Golden Griffin helm.
The squad is led by junior guard Frank Turner, who averaged 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in 2007-08.
