
SU Concludes Homestand with Big Green

SYRACUSE - The sixth-ranked Syracuse University field hockey team concludes its six-game homestand today with Dartmouth. Sunday's meeting between Syracuse and Dartmouth will mark the 10th between the two institutions. Syracuse holds a 7-2 lead in the series. The Orange has won the last three meetings, including a 2-1 win in Syracuse in 2007.
Syracuse pushed its win streak to nine and improved to 12-1 overall and 3-0 in BIG EAST play after defeating Georgetown, 10-0, on Friday. Junior forward Lindsey Conrad has recorded a team-best 31 points off a team-high 12 goals and seven assists. Sophomore midfielder Martina Loncarica and freshman back Amy Kee have each dished out a team-best eight assists. Freshman goalkeeper Leann Stiver has a goal-against-average of 1.13 and a saves percentage of .789 in the cage for the Orange.
Dartmouth has won five of its last six games, including a 5-4 victory versus Georgetown yesterday in Syracuse. Kelly Hood has recorded a team-best 29 points off a team-high 11 goals and seven assists. Kelly McHenry has dished out a team-best 10 assists. Meagan Vakiener has 4.00 goals-against-average and a .692 saves percentage.
