Triche BIG EAST Rookie Of The Week

Freshman guard Brandon Triche has been named BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week for November 30 - December 6. Triche helped Syracuse to a 2-0 week that included victories against Colgate (92-58) and Maine (101-55).
Triche averaged 12.5 points and 3.5 assists in the two wins. He converted 9-of-13 shots from the field, a .692 rate.
Against Colgate, Triche scored nine points and added five assists, three assists and one blocked shot. When Syracuse defeated Maine, the rookie guard had 16 tpoings and two assists.
Triche has started all eight game for the Orange. He is averaging 11.5 points per game, the third-best mark on the team.
The most recent Syracuse performer to earn Rookie of the Week was Donte Greene, who was selected on March 10, 2008.
