
Quillinan Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Halley Quillinan has earned a spot on the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse weekly honor roll after recording nine points on eight goals and an assist in two games last week. It's Quillinan's first appearance on the BIG EAST honor roll this season.
Quillinan scored three goals and had one assist to go along with a team-high four ground balls against Georgetown. At Loyola, she led the Orange with five goals and tied her career high with four caused turnovers. After the Greyhounds cut SU's lead to two in the second half, Quillinan scored a pair of goals during a 4-0 scoring run that gave Syracuse a commanding lead. She netted two of the Orange's final three goals in a 17-10 victory.
This season, Quillinan is Syracuse's second-leading goal scorer with 37 and third-leading scorer with 39 points. In addition, she ranks second on the squad in ground balls (21) and caused turnovers (15).
The Orange returns to the Carrier Dome to take on BIG EAST foe Notre Dame on Saturday at noon. The game is part of a doubleheader with the Syracuse men's lacrosse team, which takes on Rutgers at 3 p.m. Tickets for Saturday's game are $5 for adults and $2 for youth ages 12 and under through halftime of the women's game when the cost increases to the price for a men's game ($10 for adults, $5 for youth 12 and under). Members of the 'Cuse Kids Club receive free admission.
