
Flynn Opens NBA Summer League Play

Jonny Flynn, the sixth overall choice in the recent NBA Draft, opened play in the NBA Summer League with an 11--point, seven-assist effort for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The T-wolves were defeated by Houston, 79-65
Flynn recently signed a contract with the Timberwolves.
Former SU and Niagara Falls High School teammate Paul Harris also made his NBA debut in the summer league with the Timberwolves. Harris had five points, two steals and one block in the game.
Three other former Syracuse standouts are on NBA Summer League rosters. Donte Greene, a first round pick by the Sacramento Kings a season ago, is playing for the Kings summer squad. Demitris Nichols and Darryl Watkins are with the Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets, respectively.
