
Three More Games Chosen for Television

The 2009 Orange will play three games that will be televised on the BIG EAST Network, including Homecoming Weekend on October 3 when South Florida comes to the Dome. Two away games, at Louisville (11/14) and at Connecticut (11/28), will also be broadcast on the BIG EAST Network
The Doug Marrone era will kick off with a nationally televised game against Minnesota on ESPN2 in the Carrier Dome at 12:00 p.m. The Orange will celebrate Patriotic and Military Day in the home-opener against the Gophers. The next week the Orange will travel to State College, Pa. to face Penn State (12:00 p.m., Big Ten Network).
Seven of SU's first eight games are at home, including a September 19 contest against Northwestern for Legends Day, which will honor former head coach Dick MacPherson for his National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame induction.
On September 26, the Orange will host Maine for Youth and Senior Citizen Day, followed by the October 3rd game against USF. A visit from West Virginia on October 10 will be Courage Day and the University will host Family Weekend when Syracuse faces Akron on October 24. All Orange fans will be recognized as part of Fan Appreciation Day when Syracuse hosts Cincinnati on October 31. Syracuse's final home game on November 21 against Rutgers will be Celebrate New York Day.
All 2009 tickets are available online and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOMETIX). The Minnesota Two-Game Pack offers fans the opportunity to purchase a ticket to Syracuse's home-opener, which is new head coach Doug Marrone's Dome debut, and any other home game of their choice ($66 adult/$26 youth).
