
Schayes Part Of Basketball Tribute

Former Syracuse performer and long-time NBA player Danny Schayes '81 will take part in "A Tribute to Jewish-Americans in Basketball" on Sunday, October 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Temple Concord in Syracuse.
A dinner and panel discussion will be emceed by Bob Snyder '62 former sportwriter with the Syracuse Newspapers and color analyst on Syracuse men's basketball broadcasts. The panel will include Danny Schayes, his father, Dolph Schayes, who was named one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time, and Syracuse associate head coach Bernie Fine '67.
The event will also include a viewing of "The First Basket," a documentary on Jewish-Americans in basketball.
