SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse University named Katie Baran and Lindsey Campbell athletic communications interns for the 2009-10 academic year.
Baran will serve as the primary contact for women's ice hockey and cross country/track and field. She will assist with football, women's basketball, and men's lacrosse. Campbell will serve as the primary contact for women's tennis, volleyball, softball and swimming and diving. She will assist with football, men's basketball, and women's lacrosse.

Baran graduated from Syracuse with a bachelor's degree in science advertising in May 2009. She minored in entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises. Baran was a volunteer student assistant in the athletic communications office from August 2007 until her graduation.
She served internships with Tim Hortons and laga, an independent design firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, while attending school.
Campbell earned a bachelor's degree in sport management with a concentration in communications from Syracuse in December 2008. She graduated magna cum laude. Campbell served as a student volunteer in the athletic communications office from September 2005 to December 2008. She was an athletic communications assistant at the University of South Florida from January 2009 until June 2009.
Her experience also includes internships with the Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) and the New England Patriots/Revolution.
