Marrone Visiting the Glen as NASCAR Grand Marshall

Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone will give the 'Start your engines' command to the drivers in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 200 race at Watkins Glen on Saturday, August 8. Marrone joins Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller and country music singer Megan Linville as race Grand Marshalls for races this weekend.
The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen weekend will feature three days of great racing from three different series around the twisted turns of Watkins Glen International. The Crown Royal 200 featuring the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series will take the green flag on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. the stars of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will take the green flag for the Zippo 200. Pre-race for the 200-mile event will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m., and will kick off the live coverage of the Zippo 200 on ESPN 2. On Sunday, pre-race will get underway at 1:00 p.m., and the green flag is scheduled for just after 2:15 p.m.

Marrone and the 2009 Orange begin pre-season camp on Sunday, August 9 and kick off the season on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Minnesota in the Carrier Dome (12:00 p.m., ESPN2).
All Syracuse tickets are available online and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOMETIX). Adult Individual game tickets for all eight home games are $38 each. Youth tickets (ages 12 & under) for seven home games are $18 each. For the game against Maine on September 26, Youth & Senior Citizen day, all youth and Senior Citizens (ages 60 & over) tickets will be $15 each. Family Packs are available for all home games when purchased in advance, with the exception of games against Maine and Akron. A $99 Family Pack, which is a $28 savings, includes two adult tickets, two youth tickets (12 and under), $5 concession coupon and a $10 parking pass.
The Minnesota Two-Game Pack offers fans the opportunity to purchase a ticket to Syracuse's home-opener, which is Marrone's Dome debut, and any other home game of their choice ($66 adult/$26 youth).
