
Thurnherr Wins Trip with the Orange

Orange football fan Elizabeth Thurnherr will join the Orange in its return to State College, Pa. for the game against the Penn State Nittany Lions. Syracuse and Penn State kick off at 12:00 p.m. in Beaver Stadium. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. Thurnerr won the trip, which includes two (2) seats on a chartered plane, two (2) tickets to the game and one hotel room for two in the hotel where the Syracuse Football team is staying, in a drawing.
After the game at Penn State, Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome for six consecutive home games. The Orange will host Northwestern on Legends Day when the University will honor former head coach Dick MacPherson for his upcoming College Football Hall of Fame enshrinement. Tickets are available online and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOME-TIX).

On September 26, the Orange will host Maine for Youth and Senior Citizen Day followed by the University's Homecoming Weekend on October 3 when South Florida comes to the Dome. A visit from West Virginia on October 10 will be Courage Day and the University will host Family Weekend when Syracuse faces Akron on October 24. All Orange fans will be recognized as part of Fan Appreciation Day when Syracuse hosts Cincinnati on October 31. Syracuse's final home game on November 21 against Rutgers will be Celebrate New York Day.
