
Suter Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

Syracuse safety Max Suter is the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for his effort at South Florida. The senior led the defense with eight tackles, including six solo and three for a loss of 16 yards. He also had a sack for a loss of eight yards and forced a fumble.
It is Suter's second league player of the week honor. He earned Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance at Louisville in 2007, when he returned a kick 93 yards for a touchdown.
This season, Suter has 24 tackles, including 3.5 for a loss of yards and one sack.
Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome to host Pittsburgh on October 16 for the University's homecoming/reunion weekend known as Orange Central.
