PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Syracuse (23-7, 5-7) returned to the win column with a straight sets victory against Rutgers (10-16, 2-10) on Sunday afternoon at College Ave Gymnasium. Senior outside hitter Hayley Todd led the squad offensively for the second-consecutive match with 16 kills, hitting .308 on the afternoon.
Junior outside hitter Noemie Lefebvre was second on the team with nine and six digs while freshman middle Lindsay McCabe had eight kills, hitting a team-best .636. Senior right side hitter Mindy Stanislovaitis added six kills while sophomore Samantha Hinz hit .429 with three kills and five total blocks. Sophomore setter Laura Homann directed the attack with 32 assists while chipping in six digs and three blocks.
Defensively, senior libero Ashley Williams had a team-best 14 digs while senior Sarah Hayes had seven.
Syracuse wraps up its regular-season schedule when it hosts Cincinnati (Nov. 12, 7 p.m.) and Louisville (Nov. 14, 2 p.m.) in the Women's Building. Admission and parking is free.
