
SU Climbs To Fifth In National Rankings

The undefeated Syracuse men's basketball team (10-0) has moved to fifth in the national rankings released on Monday, December 13. The Orange, ranked eighth in the Associated Press Poll and seventh in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll a week ago, advanced after posting two wins in the past week.
Syracuse scored a convincing, 72-58 victory against #7/8 Michigan State in last Tuesday's Jimmy V Classic at Madision Square Garden. This past Saturday the Orange defeated Colgate, 100-43.
The top nine slots in the two Division I polls are identical:
- Duke
- Ohio State
- Kansas
- Connecticut
- SYRACUSE
- Kansas State
- Tennessee
- Pittsburgh
- Baylor
Syracuse is off to a 10-0 start for the second straight season and for the 13th time in Coach Jim Boeheim's 35-year tenure as head coach. SU improved to 11-0 in 10 of those seasons.
