
Lewis and Hawkes Suspended for Bowl

Syracuse senior Andrew Lewis and freshman Brice Hawkes have been suspended for the 2010 New Era Pinstripe Bowl for a violation of team rules, head coach Doug Marrone announced today. The Orange will play Kansas State in the inaugural Pinstripe Bowl on Thursday, December 30, 2010 (3:20 p.m., ESPN).
A defensive tackle, Lewis started all 12 games for the Orange in 2010, compiling 28 tackles. Hawkes played in 11 of 12 games, primarily on special teams, in his first year at Syracuse.
