BALTIMORE – A day after being selected to the inaugural BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll, Syracuse junior captain Joel White received another weekly honor. He was one of three defenders named to the ThunderBay/Inside Lacrosse Team of Week on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
White registered three caused turnovers and collected six ground balls in the Orange's 15-9 win against Denver on Feb. 19. Both totals tied for team-high and game-high honors. He keyed an SU defense that surrendered just five goals through three quarters and helped hold Denver's three starting midfielders without a point.
Notre Dame's Kevin Ridgway and Navy's Ian Crumley were the other two defenders recognized this week by the publication.
The ThunderBay/Inside Lacrosse Team of the Week is selected by the magazine's staff and is released on Tuesdays during the college season.
Syracuse returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 28. The Orange will host Army at 5 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
