BUFFALO, NY -- Syracuse, the number one seed in the West Regional of the NCAA Tournament, conducted an open practice and media interviews at the HSBC Arena on Thursday. All eight teams on site followed a similar routine on the afternoon, all in preparation for games on Friday.
Syracuse is slated to finish Friday's schedule of contests in Buffalo with a 9:37 tipoff against Vermont.
The Orange arrived in Buffalo on Wednesday evening. After an off-site practice in the early afternoon on Thursday, Syracuse went to the HSBC Arena for media interviews and then an open practice for area fans.
During interviews with the media, #Coach Jim Boeheim announced that senior center Arinze Onuaku# would not be available for the matchup with Vermont. Onuaku injured his right quadricep in Syracuse's BIG EAST Tournament game with Georgetown a week ago. Boeheim indicated that Onuaku had responded to treatments but would not be ready for the matchup with the Catamounts.
