DETROIT, Mich. – The Syracuse University ice hockey team will face off against top-ranked Mercyhurst in the championship game of the College Hockey America (CHA) Tournament today at 5 p.m. at City Sports Center. It marks Syracuse's first CHA championship appearance, while it is the fifth meeting between the two schools this season.
The Orange defeated Niagara, 5-3, for its first playoff win in program history on Friday evening to advance to the final game. The second-year program was led by sophomore Lisa Mullan, who scored two goals and helped break open a tie game to beat the Purple Eagles.
