Syracuse Women’s Rowing in Action on Cayuga Lake

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's rowing team finished first in one race, second in six others and third in three dual races against Gonzaga, Buffalo, Cornell and Michigan State today on Cayuga Lake. The Orange varsity eight of Lydia Wong (cox), Natalie Mastracci (stroke), Allison Ehrke (7-seat), Susan Groff (6-seat), Sydney Axson (5-seat), Macey Miller (4-seat), Rachael Ogundiran (3-seat), Ann Couwenhoven (2-seat) and Keriann Miller (bow) defeated Buffalo by 3.2 seconds, but lost to Gonzaga by 2.1 seconds in two separate dual races.
SU's second varsity eight placed second to both Gonzaga and Buffalo as did the Orange varsity four.
Syracuse's varsity four 'B' finished third in both of its dual races.
The Orange third varsity eight placed second in its race against Buffalo and third against Cornell and Gonzaga.
SU is back in action on Saturday, April 10 when it races for the Orange cup versus Northeastern and Penn in Philadelphia, Pa.
