
Fine, Hopkins Named To FoxSports List Of Top Assistants

Syracuse assistant basketball coaches Bernie Fine and Mike Hopkins tied for third in a recent ranking of college basketball assistants by FoxSports.com. Fine has completed 34 years as an assistant to head coach Jim Boeheim while Hopkins, a former SU player, has logged 15 campaigns on the Syracuse bench.
Fine owns the longest tenure at one school for active assistant coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks. He is the associate head coach at Syracuse.
Hopkins played in 111 games for the Orange before joining the staff as an assistant coach in 1995.
