Syracuse will serve as one of four regional-round hosts for the 2010 Legends Classic. The Orange are scheduled to play Detroit on Nov. 16 and William & Mary on Nov. 21 in the Carrier Dome.
The other three host schools are Georgia Tech, Michigan and UTEP. Each of the four institutions will automatically advance to the championship rounds in Atlantic City, N.J. The games are Nov. 26-27 at the Boardwalk Hall.
Syracuse advanced to the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet 16" this past season. The Orange were 30-5 overall and won the BIG EAST Conference regular-season championship.
Detroit was 20-14 last winter, the program's first 20-win season since 2000-01. Coach Ray McCallum has bolstered his roster by signing his son, highly-touted Ray McCallum, Jr.
William & Mary was 22-11 and reached the championship game of the Colonial Athletic Association for the second time in three seasons. The Tribe also earned an NIT berth.
Tickets for championship-round games at Boardwalk Hall are available by calling Ticketmaster (1-800-736-1420) or online at www.Ticketmaster.com.
