
Carter Earns BIG EAST Player of the Week

Redshirt senior running back Delone Carter earned the BIG EAST Conference Offensive Player of the Week award for his four-touchdown performance in Syracuse's 42-7 victory against Colgate. It is the first time Carter has won the Player of the Week award after earning BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition four times in his career.
Carter rushed for a career-high 172 yards on 14 carries, an average of 12.3 yards per rush, and matched his career-best effort with four rushing touchdowns. His scoring runs were 24, 9, 12 and 18 yards. Carter's five rushing touchdowns leads the BIG EAST. He leads the Orange with 104.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks 23rd nationally and third in the BIG EAST.
Carter ranks 11th on the Syracuse career rushing record list with 2,290 yards and his seven career 100-yard games ties for ninth in the school record book.
SU kicks off the BIG EAST portion of its schedule on Saturday, October 9 at South Florida.
