SU Hoops Starts Season With Melo Center Media Day

The Syracuse men's basketball team officiallly opened the 2011-12 season with its annual media day at the Carmelo Anthony Basketball Center on Friday afternoon. Coach Jim Boeheim, entering his 36th season at his alma mater, addressed the media and then the 20-man roster spent time with the press.
The media day was a prelude to Friday night's Midnight Madness in the Carrier Dome.
This year's edition of the Orange returns four of five starters -- guards Scoop Jardine and Brandon Triche, forward Kris Joseph and center Baye Keita. Last year's squad reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
