Nassib: ECAC Offensive Player Of Week

One day after senior wide receiver Dorian Graham and Chandler Jones earned ECAC Special Teams and Defensive Player of the Week honors, senior quarterback Ryan Nassib matched his teammates which his selection as the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week. Nassib had five touchdowns in Syracuse 49-23 win against No. 11/14 West Virginia last weekend.
Nassib, who was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the sixth time this season on Monday, had four touchdown passes and added a rushing score to lead the Orange past the Mountaineers. The West Chester, Pa. native completed 24-of-32 passes for 229, including three TD passes to senior tight end Nick Provo. Nassib also completed passes to nine different receivers against West Virginia.
Nassib is fourth on the SU all-time list for career touchdown passes with 37 and is seventh in career passing yards (4,279). Nassib is also fourth on the SU record list with 386 career completions and fifth in career passing efficiency (129.5).
The Orange head back on the road this weekend against Louisville on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (BIG EAST Network. SU will return to the Carrier Dome on November 11 against South Florida (8:00 p.m., ESPN2).
