Men's and women's basketball in is action this week at the Carrier Dome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Nick Resavy of men's basketball and Kayla Alexander of women's basketball are the Syracuse University Scholar Athletes of the Week for Nov. 14, 2011.
Resavy is a senior sports management major and has been on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in two consecutive years. He is a four-time member of the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
A native of West Milford, N.J., Resavy spent his freshman year as a student manager with the Orange basketball team, and is now in his third year as a player. He has appeared in 12 career games.
A junior from Milton, Ontario, Alexander is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic performer and has been on the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester of her career.
On the hardwood, Alexander was a First Team All-BIG EAST selection in 2010. She led the Orange in points, blocks, field-goal percentage and free-throw percentage as a sophomore. In the 2011 season opener against Long Beach State, Alexander had 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
The men's basketball team is in action Tuesday night against Albany at 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. against Colgate. The women's basketball team faces St. Francis (Pa.) Friday night and then Lafayette on Saturday. Both games start at 7:00 p.m. All four games this week are at the Carrier Dome and tickets are available online, at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B) or by calling 1-888-DOMETIX.
