Injury Forces Harris to the Sidelines

Fullback Adam Harris missed the second half of Syracuse's game against Cincinnati on November 26 due to a concussion suffered in the first half. As a result of the injury on Saturday, a review of his concussion history and his increased vulnerability for further concussions, Harris will not be allowed to participate in football at Syracuse University.
The senior co-captain, who earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for the second year
in a row in November and is now on the national Academic All-America ballot, he has played in all 10 games, including nine starts, in 2011. He has two carries for 10 yards, six receptions for 31 yards and one touchdown, and has six special teams tackles.
In his two-year Syracuse career, Harris has 10 carries for 31 yards and 10 receptions for 67 yards and one touchdown. He has also recorded 12 tackles on special teams. Harris made the team as a walk-on linebacker prior to 2009 preseason camp after transferring from Cornell University. He moved to fullback during 2010 Spring practice.
Harris earned recognition on the 2009 and 2010 BIG EAST All-Academic Teams and was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in every semester at Syracuse.
