Lemon Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

After a career-high 157 yards receiving on nine catches and one touchdown, junior wide receiver Alec Lemon was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Lemon leads the team with 47 receptions and 531 yards this season.
The Crofton, Md. native's 106 career receptions is tied for fifth on the Syracuse record list, while his 47 catches this season is tied for eighth on the single-season receptions list. Lemon is fifth in the BIG EAST with 5.2 receptions per game this season and is sixth with 59.0 receiving yards per game.
Earlier this season, he became the first Syracuse player to catch and throw a touchdown pass in the same game since Todd Philcox in 1988 when he accomplished the feat at USC. He eclipsed the 1,000 career receiving yards with two catches for 32 yards at Tulane, helping him earn Phil Steele All-BIG EAST Second Team Midseason honors.
