
Both football and volleyball have home contests this weekend

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Seniors Erin Little of the Orange volleyball team and Dan Vaughan of the SU football team are the Syracuse University Scholar Athletes of the Week for Nov. 7, 2011.
Hailing from Glenville, N.Y., Little is a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection, and has been on the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester of her career. She is majoring in advertising with a minor in marketing.
On the court, Little has the sixth most kills on the team with 110 and is hitting at a .209 clip. She was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the week of Oct. 24.
Vaughan is a finance major in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and was a 2009 and 2010 member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team. Vaughan has also been on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester of his career.
The Gibsonia, Pa. native is second on the team in total tackles with 54 and has 6.5 tackles for loss, including one sack. He registered a career-high 15 tackles against Rutgers.
Little and the SU volleyball team concludes the regular season this weekend with home matches against DePaul on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., and against Notre Dame on Sunday at noon. The SU football team hosts South Florida this Friday night at the Carrier Dome (8:00 p.m., ESPN2). Tickets are available online, at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B) or by calling 1-888-DOMETIX.
