Syracuse sophomore Sean Hickey will miss the remainder of Syracuse's Spring football practice due to a tear of his posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. An MRI taken on March 30 revealed the tear. The injury will not require surgery, but as a result of the rehabilitation process, Hickey will not return for the rest of Spring practice. His status for the 2011 season will be re-evaluated during the summer.
Hickey was listed second on the depth chart at right tackle entering Spring practice. The Murrysville, Pa. native did not play in any games as a freshman in 2010.
Syracuse will continue its Spring practice season on Friday, April 1 with a session in Manley Field House from 4:10 p.m. to 5:55 p.m. All spring practices are free and open to the public.
Tickets for the 2011 season are available online (click here) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOMETIX).
