NIKE/Inside Lacrosse Poll | USILA Poll
BALTIMORE – The Syracuse men's lacrosse team retained its No. 1 ranking in both national polls this week after defeating Princeton, 7-5, on Saturday. The Orange owns the top spot for the eighth straight week in the latest NIKE/Inside Lacrosse Poll released on Monday, April 11, and sits alone atop the USILA Coaches Poll for the sixth consecutive week.
The Orange received 340 points and all 17 first-place votes in the media poll. In the USILA rankings, Syracuse earned 260 points and all 13 first-place nods. Fellow BIG EAST member Notre Dame is second in both polls. The Irish remained unbeaten on the year with a 7-6 home win against Georgetown on Sunday.
Johns Hopkins, Maryland and Cornell round out the top five in both polls.
Syracuse is an action again Tuesday, April 12 when it hosts the Big Red. Faceoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome.
