Sanford School's (Del.) Trevor Cooney, a 6-4 guard who has signed a National Letter-of-Intent with Syracuse, helped the U.S. All-Stars to a 136-115 triumph against the Capital All-Stars in the Capital Classic on Sunday, April 17. in Marlobor, Md.
Cooney started the game and finished with 12 points, six rebounds, one assist and one steal. He played 21 minutes for the U.S. All-Stars. He was one of eight players in double figures on his squad.
Cooney led Sanford School to the Delaware Boys State Basketball Championship. The squad defeated Red Lion Christan Academy, 60-58, in the title game, and Cooney had 18 points. He played for Coach Stan Waterman.
